Nimble
Productivity around attention and energy.
A personal task app I designed and built with Claude Code, around attention and energy. It connects daily work to bigger goals and gives my AI assistants a way to help manage that work, too.

The idea
Less deciding. More doing.
Most task apps are built around a person making every update. I wanted a workspace that felt comfortable to use myself and could also work with my AI assistants. Nimble brings both into the same task system, with two-way Todoist sync so I can move over gradually.
- Capture quickly. Tasks and notes have a place to land before they need a plan.
- Keep goals close. Connect daily priorities to the work that matters over time.
- Make room in the day. Bring tasks into the calendar to plan around the time available.
- Stay with one thing. Focus for a set time or work until the task is done.
- Adapt to your energy. Curated suggestions make it easier to find an approachable next step on a low-energy day.

Design approach
Support attention without demanding more of it.
The interface starts with a manageable amount of information. Keyboard-first interactions keep frequent actions quick, while deeper details stay available when you need them. In task rows, I prioritized generous hit targets over making the layout as compact as possible. There are no streaks to protect or guilt for taking a slower day.
AI helps surface possible next steps and explains why it suggests them. The person using Nimble makes the choice. An authenticated agent API and a handoff console also let my assistants file and close work. The design challenge is making those updates understandable alongside the work I manage myself.

From design to working software
I designed it by building it.
I owned the product design and directed the implementation with Claude Code, building and refining the working app in code. The interface uses React and TypeScript, with Tauri and Rust for the desktop app and SQLite for local data. Working in the product lets me test the full flow: capturing an idea, deciding what matters, scheduling it, and getting into focused work.
Real interactions and changing states reveal details a static screen cannot. I use that feedback to revise the design and implementation together. This preview shows the current design direction, with sample content.
